Unfortunately, my client has already had a bad experience when they planned for too few IQ gateways. The gateways are usually mounted hidden under the ceiling. Salto KS is used in very large and expensive hotels. One problem is that the human body attenuates the BLE signal because it is positioned between the door and the BLE transmitter. Could you check internally whether a BLE measurement solution could be developed and whether this is a feature that is needed? The Hamina CLIP already has integrated BLE modules; perhaps it is possible to use these for a survey. This would be a unique selling point for Hamina. I think that a BLE survey would make perfect sense in the area of RTLS, Human Tracking, access control and locking systems, as well as for other BLE applications. BLE can be used to control multiple doors, which is quite useful in hotels and on ships. BLE tags could also be used for tracking in nursing homes and hospitals. To get around the duplicate floor plans, changing the WAP placements in Hamina from the import, and sometimes inventory not getting added to Hamina with the import function, I would like the ability to upload a CSV file (from a Meraki dashboard network access point list download) into a site in Hamina so I can search and assign the WAPs accordingly in the existing Hamina site map without having to also import the floor plans again to do so. I’ve encountered this a couple of times in design review/advisement meetings and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s affecting more than a few predictive designs.
