If you disable auto channel assignment, the ability to specify a channel is required.

It would also be useful to be able to specifcy restricted ranges of channels for certain APs both at a global level and more specific means.
For example:
Global project could have some settings that say outdoors APs are only allowed a certain range of channels (in the UK we are not permitted ch36-64 outdoors in 5GHz).
I would then like to be able to tag APs as "outdoors" and they should have this restricted list of channels to choose from, however this should not be done blindly based on the AP model as there are plenty of valid use cases where "outdoor" model APs are used indoors. -

Ben TonerAdditionally I would like to remove auto channel planning from just some APs which I want to manually control, such as fix to a specific non-DFS channel

Zach MahonIs there a method today to take a single AP and hard set its channels based on a current environment? We have a lot of customers that have legacy wireless deployments and have done (too much) work to statically assign channels on 2.4 and 5. We like to show "before/after" concepts to resolve site issues caused by hardware with limited channel availability, but cannot find a way to set AP's 1-by-1 to reflect existing state.

Joel CraneHey Zach! We don't have this capability today, but I think getting manual channel planning added would take care of your use case. Thanks for the comments, this is super helpful!

Alisson FreireBesides selecting a manual channel for any band, IMHO the feature should also take into consideration channel width and which radio I want to turn on or off per AP, not in a global setting as it is today. This would help us a lot.

Julian KingThis would be super helpful, especially when automatic channel planning doesn't come out correctly.
I've seen where it doesn't seem to take into account an AP a floor above in a plan. So overriding this would be beneficial, especially once you generate the report with the associated channel plan. -

Helwin YesudhasHaving a control over channel width & static channel setting for certain set of APs is always appreciated. RRMs are not always 100% accurate & there are needs for setting static channels.
