  Exporting from Hamina Network Planner to HPE Aruba New Central is in development! It will launch as a beta feature, and come out of beta some time later. Keep an eye out for updates here, leading up to the beta release.

  This would require the Aruba APIs to be expanded. We're discussing this with Aruba product people, but it's not the highest thing up their priority list, understandably.. For anyone wishing for this feature: Ping your Aruba contacts, especially PM contacts. The people hear about the need for this, the higher this goes up the priority list.

  According to Aruba, the support for export is planned to be implemented second half of 2023 (probably related to the release of Central version 2.5.7 (?)

  Hi Rudi, we checked on 2.5.7, and didn't find any new API support that we can use to export to Central. We'll certainly continue to communicate with Aruba about it.

  I jut got confirmed from our contacts at Aruba, that it's on the feature roadmap for 2.5.8, and that it should come out toward the end of calendar 2023.

  I guess Central version 2.5.8 was delayed, but i've heard rumors that it's around the corner. Do you have any news on the topic, and are you ready on your side?

  Unfortunately no, it doesn't look like this release added the API coverage that we need. At this point, it sounds like the improvements are getting pushed to Aruba's next-gen Central but I am not sure.

  I'm not completely sure that all the coverage there, but the signs are pointing towards yes. We have a few in-progress projects that we need to work on, but our plan is to start re-investigating this, and move forward with implementation if all of the coverage is there. I'm not quite ready to flip this over to "In Progress" but I think we're getting closer.

  When we are exporting buildings from Hamina to Aruba Central we have two problems:
  1: Buildings and floors need to be manually created in Aruba Central before we can export them.
  2: No walls/doors etc are exportet, we need to manually draw them afterwards in Aruba Central

  1. Unfortunately, Aruba Central works a bit differently than other systems we integrate with, and doesn't currently allow us to create buildings separately from floors. We'd need to restructure how our export process works to accommodate this, which isn't something we can implement in the short term.
  2. This is definitely something we can add! We have it on our roadmap, but will prioritize it based on demand from our users.
