AP Icon options
I would like an option to do centre-of-mass based AP Icons (i.e. the center of the icon is actually the placement of the AP), as an alternative to the pushpin-based icons. It might also come with some options regarding icon sizing (zoom independent sizing like now, or zoom dependent sizing). This will probably be a requirement to get good paper prints as well if you think about handling different paper sizes (like, an A0 or A1 plot of one hospital floor, warehouse floor, etc).

As a path of least effort... Maybe we could consider just taking out the pin (and moving the AP icon to the right place) as an option for "non-pin-liking" users? ;) -

Andreas KoksrudYes that would be a good option for the icon visual.
Scaling/sizing of the icons will probably be needed for the printed (PDF or hard-copy) reports. -

JBAgree. My end customer wants to see a bulls-eye where the AP lands, the "pin" pointer is confusing to them.
ALSO BIG AGREE ON USER CHOICE ICON SCALING/SIZE... this has been one of my pain points with "the competitor" for EVER. -

Jussi Kiviniemi AdminThe "pin if confusing to customer" is puzzling to me, since pins in Google Maps for example are pretty self-explanatory and work really well. Are our the "needle ends" of our pins still not clear enough to be 100% understanable?

Craig MonksI think the biggest issue is when printing out the map for cable installers, they are expecting a 'dot' or 'x marks the spot', the pin tip will be missed. Especially with the AP icons being round circles, they are going to look at the circle icon, not the pin tip. It will be too hard to explain on every project to every cabling contractor to go by the pin tip instead of a self-explanatory 'dot'.

JBAgree with Craig, pins are not something an architectural drawing uses. If I am presented a CAD, I am expected to return a CAD-like drawing with bullseye style icons where exactly APs shall be installed. The pushpin is not an expected CAD icon. Also, as organizations may have their own custom CAD icons, we must be able to import a png/image of that icon to be used in the hamina drawings (think different AP types get different icons that my organization has defined).
