Tape Measure
Pick a point then move tape measure to a different location, measurement is shown and changes when pointer is moved. Currently this can be done with scale but measurement is not show until picking a second point.

Please add this functionality to reports as well. When sending the report over to cabling contractors for quotes, being able to measure on the screen would be a huge step in the right direction for migrating to 100% digital reports. I've run into several instances where the cablers needed a PDF export so they could measure distances with their own software or even a ruler. The built in calculators are great, but until they start trusting Hamina, they'll want to generate quotes from their own measurements. -

Jussi Kiviniemi AdminThank you Scott for the request! Curious about the use case - where would you use this functionality? To solve which problem? To speed up what? Thanks!

Nick TurnerI am placing APs around the perimeter of a building.
Hypothetically I want to initially place APs with 20 metres separation.
The 'tape measure' tool would let me measure the distance between APs without needing to click twice.
I would also like the optional ability to keep the tape measure distance on screen, allowing me to place other elements without needing to continuously switch tools. -

Bryan WardRather than just a single line segment, please support polyline measurement - so I can measure from point A, to B, to C, ... and get a total length

Ron V. MergedIt would be awesome to have a ruler tool to evaluate distances on the map such as coverage radius and/or distances between objects.

Joshua WilliamsAnother use case: In overhead LPV designs such as arenas, it's helpful to be able coordinate mounting locations with installation contractors using a AP distances relative to other APs. This would help with precise placement and allow the designer to leave a note such as AP-CWB-101-M1 to be mounted 5.5 ft to the east of AP-CWB0101-L1. The tape measure tool would help us more easily layout those APs consistent with the text notes.

John FullerThis would definitely be a great feature to have. Right now I have to pull reports into Bluebeam Revu to add distance calculations and project notes that I want to appear right on the design.
Thank you.
