AP renumbering / renaming more control needed
Currently the formula for naming APs is great!
But I need more control, I would like the option to:
rename APs from left to right OR top to bottom
I also would like the option to group APs together, by model for example, I want the numbering to respect the model of AP or install type etc

Liking the ideas. Surely you meant "different ways of renumbering"? Is this a showstopper, or more of a nice-to-have? If showstopper, in what kinds of situations?
Group: Love the idea. How about starting simple: Just "renumber by colors"? This allows you to fully control, altho can be a bit clunky in some cases. But, together with the upcoming "better filtering of APs to select" this could work? ("Select only APs of type AP101, then recolor those APs, then do the renumbering by color." -

JohannesAn option to renumber the APs manually would also be very helpful in more complex projects.
Sometimes I want to renumber the APs in a specific way so that it makes sense. I don't want to group the APs so that the algorithm maybe numbers them correctly, I want to be able to manually renumber them the way I want.
Also renumbering with multiple floors is kinda buggy sometimes as it doesn't consider the arrangement of the floorplans which leads to them being displayed in the wrong order in the exported report. -

Matthew ZacuneBeing able to manually specify the numbers for APs and Client Devices would be extremely helpful. Currently the reorganize numbers overwrites all the numbers in its left to right, top to bottom path, which does not always work for plans with high device densities that are not perfectly in line. I am ending up with devices in a seemingly random number order.
It would also be nice to be able to adjust what the next number will be when placing an AP after having deleted something. For example if I placed AP 4 and then delete it, it would be nice to be able to place AP 4 again instead of it advancing to 5. Especially since regoranize numbers will end up renumbering everything including ones that I often don't want renumbered.
