Add option for line of sight millimeter wave radios for backhaul purposes for outdoor designs and building to building connectivity. For example Siklu N366. Would allow for outdoor design and providing design with radio when fiber is not an option. -

Chris UIn other words, much like the current functionality to create new custom Wall Types, we'd like the ability to create custom Client Device Types. For example, we found on a recent job that it would have been nice to be able to create two types of IoT sensors (e.g., a Proximity Sensor and a Humidity Sensor) and place them on the floor plan. It would also have been nice for these custom client devices to also appear as separate line items in the the Bill of Materials. While the current selection of client devices is great, we see the need for custom client device types to become an issue again in the future.

Steve Kay MergedCan you add them as a wired device option? I care less for the connectivity more for accounting for cabling power consumption and line of site? We have a team of 20 SEs and we utilized these on about 40% of our Wifi deployments as part of the LAN infrastructure. perhaps generic "wifi bridge"

Joel Crane AdminHey Steve, I merged your request here - custom wired devices seem like they would totally take care of this problem. 👍

Chris ReedTo go along with the custom wired devices. Not all of the devices need a pushpin. Would like to be able to have a "qty" field on a wired device. If I have 4 ports at a desk I can place 1 pushpin with a qty of 4, and have all 4 of those ports appear connected to the nearest switch for port counts.
The maps get very pushpinny if you start placing 1 for every device, particularly for things like temporary testing centers, E-Sports setups, media tribunes etc. -

Jim PalmerAlong with the other devices, can we please add PON devices that connect via fiber? As more MDU's push to a PON solution, having fiber cables as an option that exceeds 100 meters, and then plugging into a fiber switch, would be fantastic!

Malcolm Brindley MergedThis can be either end user able to add, or the ability to request to have new devices added to Client Devices. Providing network and power information back into the network calculations.
