Add color selection for network and PoE client devices
I really like the feature where you can select a custom color for AP's, and that it also shows up in the BoM in separate lines. This makes it easy to separate AP models if you use a combination of different AP's, or if some AP's only going to be moved, instead of a new installation for instance.
I would really love to see the same feature for both Network infrastructure (switches, routers, IDF, MDF), and also for Client devices.
I see this could be useful for sites where you have different switch models, so that it's easier to separate how many you have of each in the BoM.

We'll do this. There are some things to clean up in the coloring system first - at the moment, we download a big texture file that contains every icon and color combo, which is pretty silly. We'll switch it to using a proper alpha channel, which will enable custom colors and make it super easy to color wired clients and switches. -

John FullerI think this feature is really needed. I am working on a big project right now where we are doing the Computer Drops, WiFi, CCTV, Card Readers and Display Intercoms. It is super helpful to be able to assigned different colors for Outdoor APs, Unit APs and Amenity APs. I really need this feature so I can change the colors on Wired Devices. I have so many icons for data drops, cameras, card readers and intercoms that it really gets confusing. If I could assign a color to each type device, it would be much clearer. Not only to me but to our client and the contractors handling the different systems.
